Android 4.1 believed to be Jelly Bean

Current news around the Android World is about the Newer version of Android. It is believed that the next version of Android (4.1) is codenamed as Jelly Bean. The as-yet-unannounced Android OS was outed as version 4.1 on the Galaxy Nexus Google Wallet checkout page. But it is only believed to be as Jelly Bean as Google hasn’t officially revealed the news. Google is expected to provide details on the future of Android at its big developers conference next week. The 4.1 version of Android is said to release on Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ version first, which handsets will follow is yet to be seen. After the release of the biggie Samsung S III which runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it is considered that Jelly Bean wouldn’t have much differences from ICS. You can check out the little blurb of information below on the Play Store website if you’re in the US right now. The image below shows the evidence.

Samsung Galaxy SIII – Intelligent Features

Finally, the wait is over and the rumours are real. Yes, it is the Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung’s best ever smartphone until date. This phone was confirmed on May 3, 2012. It will release in Europe on 29 May 2012, and in the US and India in June. It will be available in two colour options – marble white and pebble blue. It runs Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with TouchWiz ”Nature UX” UI. It’s CPU has a 1.4 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A9. It has an amazing 8 MP camera and a 1.9 MP read camera.

Here are some of its intelligence features:

S Voice

Why not get a response from your phone? Tell it to wake up! Even better, you can tell GALAXY S III to turn off the alarm for a few minutes and let yourself sleep a bit more. Answer your phone (or reject a call), turn your music up (or down), and even tell the camera when to shoot.

Direct call

Samsung GALAXY S III even knows when you want to talk. When you are messaging someone and decide to call them instead, simply lift the phone to your ear and direct call will dial their number for you. No more fumbling through call logs or contacts. Let GALAXY S III do the work.

Pop up play

Doing things simultaneously on GALAXY S III’s 4.8” HD Super AMOLED screen is easy and fun. With Pop up play and the powerful Quad-Core Processor, you can watch an HD video in another window while sending an email or text simultaneously. Resize the video, drag it to where you want on the screen, and chat with your friends or surf the web. Don’t miss any of the action.

4.8 HD Super AMOLED

This is what we call seeing reality. 4.8 inches of high definition display and vivid viewing experience. With true colors and ultrafast response times, HD video playback is outrageously sharp. It’s also incredibly energy efficient and amazingly thin.

Smart stay and alert

With the innovative smart stay feature, GALAXY S III automatically recognizes when you are looking at the phone, whether it is to read an e-book or browse the web. The front camera looks deep into your eyes and maintains a bright display for continued viewing pleasure. What a bright idea.

When you pick up your phone, wouldn’t it be nice if it let you know what has been happening since you’ve been gone? Samsung GALAXY S III knows you came back and gives you a brief vibrating nudge to inform you about missed calls and new messages. How thoughtful is that?

S Beam

Sharing your content with friends nearby should be easy, quick, and even fun. S Beam lets you bond instantly so you can transfer documents, contacts, pictures, music, videos, you name it. Just put the backs of your phones together, connect, share and enjoy.

Special thanks to Samsung.com for providing the appropriate information. The price is expected to be around 35k in India. Let us expect this phone to hit the stores in Asia soon and lets see if it hits the screens! It is also the official device of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

How to Screenshot your Android Device

There are two methods to screenshot your Android Device. One is with rooting and the other is without rooting.

  • First Method (Without Rooting):

Older versions of Android doesn’t give a simple option to take screen shot directly from the device. Apple’s iPhone has a handy feature which allows to take screen shots by pressing Power+Home button. The same way, Android also have added the Home+Power or Home+Back+Power or Power+Back button. Some combo works. It mostly works on all Android devices running versions 2.1 and up. As soon as you press a combo, you hear a click sound indicating the screenshot it has taken. Now your Gallery contains the picture.

First, root your phone using the guide given here. Then install this screenshot application (Screenshot UX Trial) which actually requires rooting. I guess you peeps have the common sense to follow the on-screen instructions provided by the application you downloaded.

Happy Screenshotting!
